In my twenties, I worked as a Produce Manager in a small grocery store where I met Ellery Kingston and his mother Ardous. Ellery offered me a part-time job at Standard as a Merchandiser, so I worked at the grocery store from 4 A.M. to Noon, then at Standard from 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. After a year, I quit my Produce Manager job and became a full-time Floor Manager at Salt Lake Standard. Over 30 years, I transitioned to various roles within Standard, including Outside Salesman in Las Vegas, where I met my wife. We both worked for Standard for many years before retiring in Payson, AZ. However, I have since returned to work as the Branch Manager in the Mesa AZ. store.
